PDP Confirms Muazu’s Resignation

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has confirmed the resignation of its National Chairman, Adamu Mu’azu. The party’s spokesperson, Olisa Metuh confirmed the news not too long ago to newsmen in Abuja, but stated that he resigned due to health issues.

“The National Chairman went through the party primaries and campaigns in spite of some health challenges. Immediately after the election, he travelled abroad for medical attention,” Mr. Metuh said.

He confirmed that the party’s deputy national chairman, Uche Secondus, has already taken over as the acting national chairman, pending the election of a new chairman.
